2019 Future Stars Kids Camp

This is the most fun camp of the summer! Open to any level of softball player whether they are just beginning or play competitively. Current UIS Softball players and coaches will work with each camper to help them on throwing, position play, hitting, and base running.

Campers should bring a glove, bat, helmet, sunscreen and water bottle. Optional equipment: face mask, batting gloves, catching gear (if a catcher)

Campers can wear either pants or shorts

Equipment Needed for Camp:

Water Bottle, Glove, Bat, Helmet, Cleats, and Tennis Shoes (in case of inclement weather). Optional items are batting gloves, hats/visors, catching gear, and sunscreen. If you don’t have one of these items just let us know in advance and we will make sure we reserve it for your camper.


The UIS Softball is Field 4 in the LOLJOS Complex. The address to the complex is 4521 South 11th Street, Springfield, IL 62703. The complex is located at the intersection of Ernest Hemmingway Dr and South 11th Street.

In case of inclement weather, we will use the Student Life Building located off University Drive. SLB is located just across the street from the YMCA Soccer Fields on the east side of campus. Please use Parking Lot B and the gym is located on the south side of the parking lot.

UIS Softball is the defending GLVC Conference Champion. The 2017-2018 season was a record year for the Prairie Stars as they met new program marks by winning their first outright conference title, became nationally ranked for the first time, won an NCAA Regional for the first time in program history, and received the GLVC Pitcher of the Year and Coach of the Year major awards. Eight Prairie Stars received All-GLVC Honors, while three were named All-Region. UIS Softball is an up and coming premier Division II Softball program who is looking for athletic, competitive players who excel both on and off the field.
